SHARKS, PENGUINS, & LIGHT SABERS
OK, when you think of a wedding venue this may not be your first thought. It was exotic, it was majestic and it was full of fish and sharks. Yes! you heard me right Shannon and Brady chose a wonderful location for their special day. The venue they shared their important moments was the Adventure Aquarium in Camden New Jersey. The aquarium is celebrating its 30th year anniversary. I don't know what was more engaging to look at, the stunning view of Philadelphia over the bay or the shark tank at the reception.
Naturally, when it came to a theme for this wedding, of course, they had to go with an underwater mystical theme, but this Bride and Groom had to spice it up by making it more galaxy and adding a touch of Star Wars to the mix.
The bride had chosen an array of different blues and purples for the bridesmaids, each with a different cut while both the mother of the bride and the grandmother of bride wore a beautiful matching set in different colors, the mother of the bride wearing a burgundy color and the grandmother of the bride wearing a gorgeous navy.
The groomsmen wore their three-piece suits along with light-up lightsaber suspenders, tying in that Star Wars theme to the wedding that was also reflected through the cake and beautiful table decor. This wedding party was truly beautiful and I can't thank them enough for allowing me to be a part of their memorable day.
I had the pleasure of having a photography session with the bride a few years ago. Since then we have gotten to know each other well. I was excited when she came to me and said she and Brady were getting married and they wanted me to photograph their wedding. I couldn't imagine any two people that fit each other more. With Brady's goofy personality and Shannon's carefree and loving personality, these two were a match born for each other.
I'm not sure which part was better- when the Groom did a jiggy dance for the Bride or when in his vows he told her he would open jars for her and pretend that it was really Shannon that loosened it for him. Opting out of a traditional ring bearer, Shannon and Brady decided to have her Uncle play the role of the Beer Boy, as he walked down the aisle handing out beers to the guests during the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, Shannon, Brady, and I were able to go on our own adventures throughout the aquarium. The exhibits and attractions had been closed to the general public already as we walked around and caught beautiful moments between the couple. Even the octopus was cooperative and spread himself out around the window for us to catch a beautiful moment.
