For this Engagement shoot, we ventured over to Alexandria, Virginia. Alexandria is a city on the Potomac River, within eyesight of Washington, DC. It’s known for its Old Town, with brick sidewalks and well-preserved beautiful 18th- and 19th-century buildings. King Street is lined with boutiques and specialty shops. There were so many ideal areas to have a shoot at but just picking a few were the Wilks Tunnel, Carlyle House Historic Park, City Hall, and of course those beautifully bricked sidewalks.
The Wilks Tunnel is a great place for aesthetically pleasing pictures and wonderful silhouette shots for any occasion. It has an old feel to it and is very peaceful to walk through. Next, the Carlyle House has an amazing garden that was perfect for our engagement shoot. The flowers were beautiful and the bushes were trimmed to near perfection. One of the more airy places we shot at was the City Hall Park that has an amazing and peaceful water fountain center that was perfect for capturing light and airy pictures. People were sitting around in chairs talking or reading and it was very relaxing. The bricked sidewalks were beautifully laid out and the old aesthetic look of them was fantastic. The historic feel of the whole city was just all-around wonderful and full of great places to explore and capture amazing moments.
Meet our Bride & Groom:
Kaitlin & Brandan are getting married on October 18th at the Beautiful Stone Mill 1792 in Glenville, PA. The rustic and 18th-century scenery is the perfect followup to their Engagement shoot in Alexandria. Both places are so enriched with the history of our area. I can't wait for October with all the beautiful Autumn colors.
Make sure you come back to follow more of this MJ Couple as they make their way to "I Do"
